Potential MacOS Widgets and AirPods issue

Good evening. I noticed that when I'm using the battery widget on my MacOS (which tells you the battery status of your nearby Apple products) that my AirPods Pro battery case has been depleting over time. Has anybody else been having this issue or is it normal?

Hi Klpeeb,

There are many factors that could impact what you're experiencing. You do not mention use patterns of the AirPods in your post. If the AirPods are being used, they will be recharged or kept charged by the case at the expense of the battery level of the case by design.

AirPods Pro 2 and the charging case are compatible with Find My as described at Find your lost AirPods with Find My. The connection necessary to keep the location updated will require battery use and result in a loss over time.

If you feel these do not explain what you are experiencing use the link in the earlier reply to contact Apple Support for further investigation.

Regards.
