Unable to set ‘Travel Time Based on Location’ for Events I am Invited to

For events that I have been invited to (from Google Calendar) with a location set, I am unable to make the `Travel Time` option be based on my current location.

When I edit events that I have created from the Calendar app, the `Travel Time` options opens another page on which I can customize my travel time settings based on my location and mode of transportation.

Is there a way to set travel time based on location for events that weren’t created from the Calendar app, or events that you’ve been invited to?

Also, does the location based travel time feature update with traffic on the day of the event?

Hello any0ne,

When you open these calendar events, you can edit them as well. Check out the section labeled 'Edit an event' on this page to learn how: Create and edit events in Calendar on iPhone - Apple Support.

Edit an event
You can change the time of an event and any of the other event details.

* Quickly change the event time or duration: In Day or Week view, touch and hold the event, then drag it to a new time, or adjust the grab points.

* Change event details: Tap the event, tap Edit near the top right, then in the event details, tap a setting to change it, or tap in a field to type new information.

We hope this information helps you out.

Best wishes!

Hi genieen16,

I actually cannot edit the event. I am not the organizer of the event, so there is no prompt to `edit` it on my phone or my ipad.

The only options I see on the bottom are `Accept`, `Maybe`, and `Decline`. `Accept` is highlighted since I've already accepted the invite.

Do you have any other suggestions, or is this not possible?

Hi any0ne,

Thanks for clarifying. The "Travel Time" option appears when creating or adding editing events in Calendar. Please check out this link, which explains the available options when replying to invitations in Calendar on iPhone, and may be helpful: Reply to invitations in Calendar on iPhone

Reply to invitations in Calendar on iPhone
In the Calendar app , reply to meeting and event invitations you’ve received.

Reply to an event invitation

1. To respond to an event notification, tap it.
2. Or, in Calendar, tap Inbox, then tap an invitation.
3. Tap your response—Accept, Maybe, or Decline.
To respond to an invitation you receive by email, tap the underlined text in the email, then tap Show in Calendar.

If you add comments to your response, your comments can be seen by the organizer but not by other attendees (comments may not be available for all calendars). To see events you declined, tap Calendars at the bottom of the screen, then turn on Show Declined Events.

Thanks!
