iPhone display screen shows icon instead of month for the date

My iPhone display screen shows me the correct time, and date (ie “Weds, 4 - -) , but instead of displaying the Month name (like October), there is an image of a thermometer with two dashes next to it and a symbol for degrees (a little circle to the right and at the top half of the two dashes). Image attached.

I rebooted, no change.

Hello karine107,

It looks like you may have a widget set up next to the date on the Lock Screen.

This page can help provide info on using/editing widgets: How to add and edit widgets on your iPhone - Apple Support

1. Touch and hold the Lock Screen until the Customize button appears, then tap Customize.
2. Select Lock Screen.
3. Tap Add Widgets.
4. Tap or drag the widgets that you want to add to the Lock Screen.
5. When you're finished, tap the close button , then tap Done.

Try using the above steps, and after selecting the Lock Screen for the customization, tap on the top bar with the date in it. Then try choosing the 'Date' calendar widget amongst the list, which should include the month.

Cheers.
