App news

How to deal with the "News" application? in the all apps view, this one looks like it's updating. from time to time I get a message that the application cannot connect to the phone and I should check it on the phone (internet is normal), I don't have this application on my phone. I cannot enable/disable or remove this app. when I turn on the view of active applications, it is all black with a loading circle

Hey there Ilonko,

We'd like to help by learning more about what's happening, along with ruling out some basics:

  1. You mentioned that this deals with a 'News' app, but if you're referring to Apple News app, this isn't available for Apple Watch, but is available for iPhone. If this is the app you're referring to, but mentioned you've already deleted it from your iPhone, are we correct in understanding it still shows in the App Library on your iPhone? If yes, please describe what occurs if you tap upon it from your iPhone.
  2. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart: Restart your iPhone and Restart Apple Watch
  3. If you have a compatible iPhone model, the latest version is iOS 17.0.3. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then update: Update your iPhone or iPad If you have a compatible watch model, the latest version is watchOS 10.0.1. and 10.0.2 for Apple Watch Series 9/Apple Watch Ultra 2 models. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to update: Update your Apple Watch

Cheers!
