In iMessage, at the top it shows “new Contact Name” and shows an update button…but the name it’s showing is wrong!! I’ve checked with my contact and his name has not changed in reality or anywhere in his phone or iCloud!! I’m ignoring this suggestion…but why is it suggesting a random and incorrect name??

Of course not. It's a "Feature", right? This is the 2nd most annoying thing in the Applescape next to Finder. When I set my Contacts name and/or photo to >>what I want it to be<< why the **** is Apple forcing their contact info on me with no option to Ignore This Completely And Foreverrrrrr? I do not care what my brother thinks his name is; I call him Dingus McGee with a photo of a Donkey and that's how I want it to stay.
Any solutions ?
Is anyone going to pick this up or does Apple have access to our government data and doesn’t want to resolve this?
