Apple Mail combining threads with same subject line but from different people, how to fix?

So I love how Mail has threads with people and I can easily look back through the conversation.

The problem is, whenever I have the same subject line from two different people, such as "Inquiry," it groups them in one thread. This is super annoying and confusing. Is there a way to separate the conversations when that happens? I don't want to disable threads because 95% of the time it is useful.

My Replies not included in thread Even though I have Organize by Thread and Complete Threads turned on, my replies are not showing in the thread. My email is coming from gmail and they show in gmail but I have to go into Send folder to see my replies in Apple mail. This used to work until recently (within the last week or so).

Mac mail app shows wrong message body When I have a set of messages that consist of a conversation with replies back and forth, selecting a message to view only works for the first selection. If I then select another message in the conversation, I see the message body from the first selection. This continues until I select a message outside the conversation and then go back to a message that is part of the conversation. (I'm using the term "conversation" rather than "thread" since I do not display messages in threads. Note that this problem only exists on my Mac. On my iPad or iPhone, the messages display properly. (I tried a popular solution from Linc Davis dated Aug 20, 2014, but it did not solve the problem.)
