Downloading cds to Apple Music

No matter what I do I cannot get back all the music I have on cds that I used to have on iTunes App, back on my MacBook Pro 2020, OS Sonoma! Using a separate disc drive does NOT work. I have been doing everything in my power to make it work and it does not. I am so angry with Apple I could chew nails and spit tacks! It used to be so easy way back in 2009 on my iMac when the disc drive was built in. Apple has stolen all my money that I put into my cds by not caring that they have destroyed my ability to put music that I already bought, back on my Macs. :(

Seamaiden,

You do not need to re-rip your CDs every time you get a new computer. Just move your iTunes/Music library to the new machine: Move your iTunes library to a new computer - Apple Community

Troubleshooting External Disc and macOS:

Contact the manufacturer of this drive. While researching this drive, check for compatibly specs, and see if that is an issue.

If it is compatible:

You might need to download the drivers
If the drivers are installed, try updating them
Use a USB C Hub with external power capabilities. That should do it.
