Tabs gone after update
my tabs disappear after updating to ios17.3 and put new tabs they I didn’t even have before or had awhile ago

We would like to see how we can help you with your tabs going missing. Are these pinned tabs? Are you using iCloud tabs? If so, follow the steps in this link to check for those tabs that might be open on other devices: Set up and use iCloud Tabs - Apple Support
"On your Mac
- Open Safari.
- From the Bookmarks menu in the menu bar, choose Show Start Page.
- By default the Start Page includes a section showing the tabs that are open on your other devices.
- Tap the one that you want to open.
- To close a tab on another Apple device, Control-click the tab, then choose Close Tab."
