iTunes issues with lost audiobooks and movies from my library from years ago.

Many of my audiobooks are not in my library any more. I am wondering why and where have they gone because I did purchase them and they should be still available to me 10 years later. Also, many movies I purchased under an older user name (when iTunes first started) are also missing. Where are they and how do I get every purchase I made back over the past 20 years?

Prior to some point in 2009 most content was sold on the basis of a single successful download which you were supposed to backup and transfer from computer to computer as needed. Although you can now generally redownload past purchases that doesn't apply to every item originally supplied under the earlier terms.

See Hide and unhide music, movies, TV shows, audiobooks, and books - Apple Support and Redownload apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books from the App Store, iTunes Store, and Apple Books - Apple Support in case you have inadvertently hidden some of the older content from your current ID.

See Authorization vs. association - Apple Community for some background on the difficulty you might have trying to redownload past content from a different ID on the one computer. E.g. you might need to wait 90 days to swap between IDs.
