Epson v700 Scanner not working with Sonoma 14.0 update

I have updated my MacBook Pro to Sonoma 14.0 and now my Epson v700 scanner isn't working. This happened with Linux update and took a few months before I could use the scanner again. Is there a way to get my scanner working now or will I need to go back to Linux till Epson updates its operating system?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 14.0

The last drivers that Epson made for the v700 were in Oct 2022. A year is a long time to offer compatible printer driver support with an entirely new operating system (Sonoma). Epson indicates that they will provide drivers on an ongoing basis for Sonoma. Don't hold out hopes that they will have a pang of guilt and release new Sonoma compatible drivers…

Since the V700 is an Epson discontinued product, you may want to use a third-party solution that works with this scanner, without Epson drivers, and on macOS, Linux, and Windows. That product is the paid, free trial VueScan Professional.
