Apple web saying they will replace pre-2020 Airpod Pros with Static issue, but store said No
I am writing to address a concern regarding my AirPods Pro
(Model Number A2084, Serial Number GWKZPRKWLKKT, Version 5E135) which I believe
to be affected by the sound issues as outlined on your website at AirPods Pro Service Program for Sound Issues - Apple Support.
The mentioned support article titled "AirPods Pro
Service Program for Sound Issues" clearly states that affected units were
manufactured before October 2020. Upon experiencing significant static to the
point of them being unusable, I did my due diligence and consulted Apple's
online resources. I was relieved to find out that this was a recognized defect,
and Apple was offering a service program to address the same.
To seek a solution, I scheduled an appointment with the
"Genius Bar" on October 5th, 2023, at 10:20 am at the Apple Store in
International Mall, Tampa, Florida. However, I must express my disappointment
with the service I received. Contrary to the information on your website and
the promise of assistance, I was informed that my AirPods Pro were not covered
for the repair or replacement. Furthermore, I was surprised by the absence of
the "Genius Bar" staff or anyone who could provide expert assistance
on the matter.
I have always admired Apple for its commitment to quality
and customer service. Hence, I am taken aback by this inconsistency between the
promises on your website and the service provided at your retail location.
I humbly request Apple to stand by its commitment as
outlined in the support article and provide me with a replacement or repair for
my AirPods Pro. I believe in the brand, and I am confident that Apple will
uphold its reputation for putting its customers first.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward
to a favorable resolution.
