Not receiving calls in my house

Sometimes calls are not coming through in the house. Sometimes the caller gets silence, sometimes goes straight to voicemail. The Tesco mobile shop have tried turning off voicemail and giving me a new SIM card. I googled the problem but nothing was appropriate. Any ideas?
