Hello, I am running MAC OS Monterey on Oracle VM and trying to install Xcode 14 but is giving me the message "The archive "Xcode_14.xip" can't be expanded because the selected volume doesn't have enough free space".
I checked my storage and there is 684GB SATA Disk /virtual disk/, 23.45GB available of 53.48GB.
Could someone help and tell me what I have to do?

23.45 GB isn’t nearly enough. AFAIK, Xcode 14.3.1 was up around 40 or 45 GB to unpack.
The as-installed Xcode usage varies by device support options chosen, too.
Seems you need still more space, then. The volume used for this is the boot volume, and specifically Macintosh HD - Data or whatever that's called on your Mac.
I removed docker and the previous Xcode, 51 GB, and the .xip would still not install.
Problem is more - I would like to know what 'volume' selection it was facing. All my Macs are vanilla installs...?
