Problem launching iTunes for Windows

I am running the latest version of iTunes for Windows under Windows 11 in Classic Mode, and have been for years. Suddenly, the iTunes icon in my bottom tray no longer functions to launch iTunes. Any ideas, solutions? Is there a file I can place on my desktop that represents my iTunes music library, that I can double click on to launch it? Thanks.

Whenever iTunes is updated the Taskbar icon stops working and is replaced by a white icon. Delete the white non-working icon.

I'm not familiar with Windows 11, but it cannot be to dissimilar to Windows 10. On Windows 10 there is usually a Desktop icon for iTunes as well, which does not stop working. You should be able to drag the icon to the Taskbar (it will not remove the Desktop icon). Alternatively, on Windows 10 main Start/All Programmes menu, you will find iTunes, which if you right-click/More/Pin to Taskbar will add it back.
