Read receipts for group chats

Everyone has read receipts on separately for each each other but we want them for our group chat is that even a thing with iPhones?

Cannot enable read receipts for group conversations I have disabled the general setting to send read receipts. I only enable it for individual conversations. However, why can't I enable it for group conversations, for example with my mother and father?
