This is definitely an odd issue as your photos and videos shouldn't auto-delete, but we're glad to hear you are able to locate them in the Recently Deleted folder to recover them. To start, updates have recently released so let's make sure you're fully updated. Updates can help by installing bug fixes and include security updates too.
