iPhone X not working

Is there any way to run a diagnostic test on the iPhone without access, I dropped my iPhone X and it is stuck in a boot loop only when plugged in and I cannot figure out a way to fix it. Could it be a new battery needed? Or new components? I don’t want to take it to a phone repair shop or send to apple as I would like to know the problem or if I can fix it on a computer or something.

You dropped the iPhone. It may well be catastrophically damaged.

You want to know the problem, and don’t want Apple or a repair shop involved if you can avoid it. But I suggest you allow Apple to diagnose the problem. You would certainly not be obligated to let them repair it.
