iOS 17.0.2 Stickers "Bug"

I love the new stickers function with my new iPhone 15 Pro and iOS 17.0.2, however, there is a bug it would seem. There is a solution, sort of but this warrants an update from Apple.

PROBLEM: Sometime after creating new stickers from photos, they seem to disappear; e.g. clicking on the + sign in messages, then the stickers option, there is nothing there. This has been a problem for a while as I have read about it and the solution is to sign out of iCoud on the phone, then sign back in. This allows stickers to start working again but there are two caveats that I found.

First, any previous stickers you've made are gone and you have to start over and second, all of the credit cards in Wallet have to be reistalled and verified.

Color me unhappy for now and hopefully Apple is aware of these issues.

I’ve been working with Apple tech support on stickers issue since November 23. This was response from early December, “small update from Apple’s engineering team that they’ve been able to confirm the issue and are investigating it further to determine the best resolution steps.” Then last week , “Thanks for your patience. I’m still waiting to hear from our engineers about your case.” Quite the investigation.

From the date of your last post. I can tell that this is an on going issue. I just discovered I am also having the same issue, unfortunately for me the trouble shoots of signing out of iCloud didn’t work. So far I have worked with a level 1 help from Apple, that was late last night. Today I am scheduled to work with a level 2 help from Apple.

So far I have done the following without any change to the issue.

hard reset my phone

signed out of ICloud

signed out of iMessage

cleared my cache

i am getting ready to back up my phone and do a factory reset on it.

I am noticing around 300 people are having the same issue, or close to the same issue with the stickers not working, completely losing all their old stickers, new stickers completely disappearing, if the phone allows them to make a new sticker.

I will try to update later on and share where I am at. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
