Hotmail problems

On my iPhone 12, Hotmail inbox shows “no mail” when there is mail, or “this message has not download,” or closes without warning. I have downloaded IOS 17, deleted past memory and websites but cannot find caches to empty. Microsoft help says it is a Macintosh problem.

iPhone13 Mail content loading very slowly/not at all. My iPhone has been working perfectly but since the last update (16.4) it will not download the content of an email sometimes at all, or occasionally exceptionally slowly. My (much older) MacBook Air does not have this problem and is working off the same wifi. I have plenty of memory left on my phone. I've tried a hard re-start and have deleted temporary internet files but nothing is working.
