All Browsers Are Not Allowing Uploads or Downloads "fileproviderd" Cause

File uploads and downloads freeze the browser and ultimately you have to force quit. Then I found this page where someone advised turning off iCloud.

I tried it. It fixes Safari instantly, but not Chrome. The only way to get Chrome and Firefox to work is to use Activity Monitor and force quit fileproviderd.

Then the upload window appears. Same for downloading too. This happened soon after upgrading to Sonoma today.

So it appears like there's a major bug in Sonoma. Just letting you all know. Hopefully they can work it out. Seems like this has happened in the past.
