Hi, I'm having issues with a split screen shortcut I set up, in that it opens the two apps but does not show it as a split screen, I have turned on "Displays have separate spaces" in desktop and dock settings, but still does not work. For information, I am on a 2021 Imac running Sonoma version 14. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I fixed this by not using the shortcuts in the gallery and creating new shortcuts from scratch. For some reason the ones in the gallery are crashing the shortcuts app in Sonoma currently.
Just start a new shortcut and search for the “split” command and select the apps you want to use split screen for. These are great shortcuts!

I had the same issue and created a ticket.
Apple fixed it with the latest Software Update.
Check it out! All Shortcuts in the Gallery work again.
It's not clear to me one can even set up a shortcut to open two apps in Split Screen. You probably should post your shortcut to be looked at. FWIW, Split Screen certainly works in Sonoma.

Well, it's not something I would use but it works on my iMac Pro running Sonoma with Safari & Notes assigned. I have no thoughts on why it doesn't work for you. Maybe someone else will.

I'm using Shortcuts on a Mac mini w/Sonoma 14.4.1. I've tried all there suggestions, but I still cannot get Split screen between two apps to run. Only the first app appears!
