Is anyone else having issues with Safari's dev tools (like Web Inspector) after the Sonoma update?
Since the last update (Sonoma) my web inspector isn't functioning properly. My console is empty, upon initial display, as well as my storage (local storage, to be exact) when I know there should be information waiting on me.
Since I started learning web development, I've been able to rely on (any) Mac's blazing fast performance speeds to check on the information being passed through my app. It's truly disheartening to see these issues after an update.
Also (as a matter of personal preference), I liked the "responsive design mode" better in the previous iterations! Though I used to lament the difficulty to type in the particular screen size, I loved the fact that there were 9 preset options to choose from. Now I have the ability to easily type in screen sizes but lost the "standard options" that I grew to love.
Apple Inc,... I'm sure that the vast majority of your Mac customers aren't developers. Still, please do not disregard us and the ease of use your machines have provided to our ilk... I feel I can no longer brag to PC-using devs about my "superior machine"! I hope they don't find out about these recent issues before they are corrected!
If there are any other developers who aren't satisfied with your machine's performance after this recent update, please also leave a comment. I'm sure more voices will lead to faster solutions.
