After installing Sonoma had mail problems so deleted Yahoo account and when I tried to reinstall yahoo I get message"Failed not Authenticate" Anyone had mail problems after installing Sonoma

I had to get a new PW from Rogers which was supposed to solve my problem but still getting the same message. Not sure where to go next and kind of hoping it is an apple mail problem that needs a fix? Thanks
I've been using Yahoo for several years and no connection issues. When you set up your account did you pick "Yahoo" from the list, entered your correct email? It should then set up a IMAP account (not POP).
I too have used Yahoo mail for years with no problem. I also had to delete and reinstall the Yahoo account before with no problems. I do select Yahoo and entry username and password and then get the " failed to authenticate" try later message. Prior discussions seem to indicate problem not new and some mention this year. Not sure what to do know and frustrating to have no email?
Problem seems to be with Rogers. They appears to be in favour of using mail via Rogers Member Center as apposed to Yahoo? I did followed your suggestion and installed Thunderbird and am very pleased. Thanks
You could use the Thunderbird mail app. and see if Yahoo works. That would narrow down the issue as Yahoo or Apple Mail.

No issues here with Yahoo. I assume you are adding a Yahoo IMAP mail account in Apple mail? Has your PW changed?
I have not had any problems adding my e-mail accounts. Are you trying to add it to Apple Mail? Maybe try reset your password and authentication settings on the web and try again.
Did reset password etc. without success. Have installed Thunderbird as per other discussion entry. Thanks.
