it is really old, got it in 2019 and it has a lot of cracks, and it is laggy sometimes and it also has cracks to the point where you can see the insides and some inside pieces fell out.

I recommend taking your iPad to a Apple Store to get it looked at, what you described in the description, didn't seem normal for a iPad to do. If there is no Apple Store near you, visit a local repair shop.

Well, it sounds like you recognize it’s time to replace or repair it.
My iPad nothing wrong with it, just fine.
my iPad is a old iPad 6th generation, it is kind of broken down and now it won’t let me get the update
