Apple Music subscription-Cancel

I want to cancel my Apple Music subscription. I got it by a promotional offer once for like 3 months. I think I cancelled it, I can’t remember. It says in settings “expiring October 8th” but if I click on it it says "starting on October 8th, your plan with renew for the regular price of $10.99 per month until cancellation" can anyone help
