Automatons not available anymore?

Some time ago, my iPad Air 4 was available for use for automation purposes within the Home service. Now when I open Home and select Automations, there is some crap about Apple TV 4 and Home Pod. Nothing to set set up new or edit existed automations anymore. What should this mean and is there any way to get what I want?

Not managed to reach the support, indeed. Hope to find some help here.

Hi there Antropod215,

It looks like you have some questions about the Home app on your iPad. We can certainly help shed some light on this. It seems that you may have completed the upgrade to the new Home architecture on iPad. You can read more about that at Upgrade to the new Home architecture on iPad - Apple Support, however there have been changes such as:

"Note: A home hub such as Apple TV (4th generation or later) or HomePod is required for features such as remote access, sharing your Home, notifications, automations, HomeKit Secure Video, and Adaptive Lighting. iPad is not supported as a home hub with the new Home architecture. You can continue to use the Home app on iPad to connect and control your smart home accessories."

If you currently own an Apple TV or HomePod, follow the steps here to complete the process across all devices: Upgrade to the new Home architecture - Apple Support

If you have additional questions or concerns, reach out to Apple so they can look into additional options with you at: Get Support

Thanks!

Hi ManJor,

Thank you for your comments!

It is a shame neither iPad nor Apple TV Gen 3 are not supported anymore. I am not planning to buy Apple TV4 or another iPad, so I just have to accept I am not allowed to use automations I did use before. This is a total disappointment, I have to admit.

Could you share your own thoughts on this, please? What is your opinion about it?
