Confused macOS Can't find hidden files and photos.

I used the Hide Command on the files that I am in search of.

macOS Catalina

Version 10.15.7 (19H2026)

iMac (21-inch Late 2013)

Processor 2.7 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5

Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Graphics Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB.

command-shift-period will allow invisible files to be seen.

Keep in mind, many invisible files are not to be touched because the system uses them.

can find invisible files the Finder can't because the Spotlight index got corrupted. You can rebuild the spotlight index here:
