iCloud messages missing on MacBook Pro

I have a 2021 MacBook Pro, 16inch running Sonoma 14.0.

Messages from iPhone, and therefore iCloud, are not showing up on my Mac.

I have EVERYTHING correct on my Mac and on my iPhone. I have taken all of the suggested "steps": signing out and back in, restarting the Mac. Signing out, restarting the Mac and signing back in.

This happens pretty regularly if I don't open my MacBook every day. I have called support and they have walked me though several times. One time it worked. One time it didn't and confused the specialist.

On my iPhone, I just now did a "love" on one of the missing messages. On my Mac, it brought that conversation to the top but did not show the missing message or the "love" I did on the message.

So the Mac knows the messages are in iCloud, they are just not coming onto my MacBook.
