Hi!
There are 2 possible issues I can see here. Replying to this message with the specific issue can help others, and help for clarification.
If your phone looks like this:
This issue can be caused by many reasons, including:
In order to fix the rainbow screen, I would suggest trying to reset your phone or updating your phone to a newer software (In this case, iOS 17) to see if that fixes the issue. If you aren't able to navigate the phone, plug the device into a MacBook, or PC that either has Finder (for Mac) or iTunes (for PC), and try updating it there. If all fails, visit an Apple Store and book an appointment.
Note: before updating your phone to iOS 17, it is reccomended to make a backup of your device.
The second thing that could have happened:
If your phone has rainbow lines and other screen damage indicators, your phone screen is broken. Visit an Apple Store for repair, or find another small shop near you.
Regards,
Bryce
If anyone wants to add to this if you have other fixes, please do.

That's perfectly fine! Book an appointment at an Apple Store (https://getsupport.apple.com/?caller=home&PRKEYS=), and they will help you for free at the store (unless you decide to replace the phone or phone parts, then you will obviously have to pay extra).
You can update to iOS 17 using a separate device, such as a PC or MacBook.
PC: Update software on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in iTunes on PC - Apple Support
Mac: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with the Finder - Apple Support
