Hi!

There are 2 possible issues I can see here. Replying to this message with the specific issue can help others, and help for clarification.

If your phone looks like this:

This issue can be caused by many reasons, including:

  • Hardware Faults
  • Software Bugs
  • Malware

In order to fix the rainbow screen, I would suggest trying to reset your phone or updating your phone to a newer software (In this case, iOS 17) to see if that fixes the issue. If you aren't able to navigate the phone, plug the device into a MacBook, or PC that either has Finder (for Mac) or iTunes (for PC), and try updating it there. If all fails, visit an Apple Store and book an appointment.

Note: before updating your phone to iOS 17, it is reccomended to make a backup of your device.

The second thing that could have happened:

If your phone has rainbow lines and other screen damage indicators, your phone screen is broken. Visit an Apple Store for repair, or find another small shop near you.

Regards,

Bryce

If anyone wants to add to this if you have other fixes, please do.
