I need guidance on how I can use my Apple Watch after the iOS 10.1.1 update

Updated my Apple watch to 10.01 and hate it. I used to be able swipe up on my watch to see modes such as Do Not Disturb, Find My Phone, Battery Life %, Movie etc. Now I see Time, Tips, weather, etc. To see my old screen with those modes, you have to push the side emergency button. That is stupid. Can it be changed back? How do I get rid of the messages, tip and activity when I swipe up? In addition, I could swipe sideways to change the face of my watch and now I can't. I wish Apple had tutorials of all the updates they plan to roll out so users could look to see what it will be before they decide to update, unless it was for bug fixes. I give Apple and F- on this update.

I hate the new update! I don’t like that you have to scroll through all the apps alphabetically now rather than having the ones you use most frequently be shown first. The weather app is very light and difficult to read- unnecessarily complicated.

Well, as an older disabled person I find the most recent update of the Watch much more user friendly. Pressing the Side button for the Control Center is much more intuitive and useful than trying to swipe up from the bottom of a watch face for the same purpose, an action I miss about 50% of the time. The button I get every time.

And I’m surprised you had to do a Google search on how to use it, when there was a link right on the update page to this→What’s new in Apple Watch and watchOS 10 - Apple Support

sooooo disappointing
bad move with this update Apple

Apple does not read this user-to-user technical support forum for feedback.

But you can send Apple feedback via:

Feedback - Watch - Apple

If enough users send feedback, it is more likely a decision maker will see it, and maybe take action.

I understand the watch face issue, and the fix although not great is easy enough to do……however for those of us that would use the button to quickly look up recently used apps such as health rings, and possibly not the best eye sight….ITS A PAIN!

Being asked if pausing or stopping exercise is what you want to do is a plus….. but over all not impressed

So now, I have to hit a side button, scroll to find the app I want to use (even though it’s right there on my watch face) and then use the app. I used to tell everyone they should get an Apple Watch, and now, I feel like it’s lost all the star qualities I used. What is the point of having the app icons on the watch face if you can’t tap on them and use them instantly??? Almost worthless. I’ve had one since they first came out and now, I’m not even thinking about a new one. I’m so bummed!!
