I want to delete Links that were sent to me in the Messages app without having to delete the entire conversation on my MacBook Air

In my Message app on my MacBook Air: When I try to highlight a Link that was messaged to me, in order to delete the Link, I am always brought to the Link website and there is no way to just hold either the 'command key' or the 'shift key' in order to delete the Link.

Thank you.

On my MacBook Air, every time I try to right click an attached link someone sent me, it brings me to the website of the link. Eventually, I go to the top left Apple>About>Storage>Manage and I click on ‘Messages’ where I find all of the total attachments in all of my message chains, (photos, docs, links etc.,) that were sent to me as an attachment to a ‘text‘ that a friend may have texted to me.

… so I still don’t have a solution to the problem I’m having.
