How can I remove myself from a family

my iCloud is linked to my moms old device and I would like to remove myself so that she can add me to her current device

Hey there Howdymyboi,


It sounds like your Apple ID might have been added to your mom's device. If that's the case, you can sign out from her device in Settings, or you can remove the Apple ID from her device by following the steps here: View and remove your devices that are associated with Apple ID purchases - Apple Support


If you have access to the device, you can sign out using these steps: Sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, or Mac - Apple Support


You can also set up Family Sharing if you want to keep the Apple ID accounts separate but want to still share content with each other. Learn more here: What is Family Sharing? - Apple Support
