MD825AM/A A1439 lightning to vga adapter

there are three connections: a lightning male to connect to a device (an ipad in my case), a vga female to connect to a display, and a third for which i find no description. am i correct in assuming that it is a lightning female for connecting the usb charging cable? thx.

iPad, iPadOS 16

Members of the community may be able to provide a bit more information, with some additional clarification.


You mentioned there are three connectors, where are you seeing these connectors? What are you trying to connect your iPad to?


If your iPad had a lightning connector, that is where you would connect the charger to charge the device. Charge the iPad battery

i see them here: Lightning to VGA Adapter - Apple


i want to connect my ipad to a vga monitor.


the lightning male is on the cable end and connects to the ipad lightning female.


the vga monitor connects to the vga female on the adapter body.


the body of the the adapter also has a female connector next to the vga female on the adapter body. am i correct in assuming that it is a lightning female for connecting the usb charging cable?

Charge your iOS device while it's connected to a display
Most adapters have an extra Lightning connector or 30-pin Dock connector, so you can charge your iOS device while connected to a secondary display. Just connect a Lightning to USB or Dock Connector to USB to the adapter. Then plug the USB connector into a power source.
