Hello Noriega27,
To help us get a better understanding of the issue, we’d like to ask a few questions.
1. Does this happen with all audio, or only certain content?
2. Which device are you using your AirPods with? If you use them with multiple devices, does the issue happen with all of those devices, or only a certain one?
The above details will help us plan how to proceed.
Also, if you haven't already, we would suggest resetting your AirPods, as that can help correct several issues. This link explains how to do that: How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro
You might need to reset your AirPods if they won't charge, or to fix a different issue.
1. Put your AirPods in their charging case, and close the lid.
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Open the lid of your charging case, and put your AirPods in your ears.
4. Go to Settings > Bluetooth. Or go to Settings > [your AirPods].
* If your AirPods appear there as connected, tap the More Info buttonnext to your AirPods, tap Forget This Device, then tap again to confirm.
* If your AirPods don't appear there, continue to the next step.
5. Put your AirPods in their charging case, and keep the lid open.
6. Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds, until the status light on the front of the case flashes amber, then white.*
7. Reconnect your AirPods: With your AirPods in their charging case and the lid open, place your AirPods close to your iPhone or iPad. Follow the steps on your device's screen.
AirPods can be associated with one Apple ID. If you want to use AirPods (3rd generation) or AirPods Pro (1st or 2nd generation) that someone else has used, they first need to remove the AirPods from their Apple ID.
* When you reset your AirPods, the settings for your AirPods also reset. You can change your settings again.
Thanks!

I had the same thing. This is obviously a hardware manufacturing issue, because they issued a service bulletin for it and offered to fix it for free...but only for 3 years after sale. Mine started having the problem 3.5 years after purchase, so I too am SOL.
Makes me very angry. I used to be a big apple cheerleader, but this has put a sour taste in my mouth. May look elsewhere going forward.
If your AirPods Pro (1st generation) make crackling or static sounds - Apple Support
AirPods Pro Service Program for Sound Issues - Apple Support
If your AirPods Pro is manufactured from 2020 or older you can get a new pair apparently
Thanks for trying Noriega27,
If you're still having trouble, you can connect with Apple directly to report using either Get Support or if you're in a region without direct support options, you can also Contact Apple for support and service.
Hope that helps.
Take care.
I have tried this method, and my callers can still hear static sounds. Only happen on the left ear pod. also, this only happens when i am on a call. I can listen to my music or video and seems to be good. it's just when i am on the call and the caller hears a static sound.
Do you have something to support that? That's what I thought was going to happen since there was a service bulliten for it, but there is a line in there that it only applies for 3 years. And since the issue only occurs for devices manufactured Oct 2020 and before, basically that means that no one with this issue now or in the future will be covered.
In any case, I went into the Apple store, they evaluated mine and said both were defective, but told me they would have to charge me to fix it, and the cost is almost as much as buying a new one would be (especially with sales that occur periodically). So if there is some documentation stating that they should get replaced regardless, I'd definitely love to have it.
I did! They want to charge me $180 for a repair! Apple does software update to messed up our products that we already have so we can purchase a new one. I’m not happy!
