Blurry lock screen

every time i try to add a new lock screen wallpaper after updating to ios 17, it blurs the top of the photo. is there any way i can turn off this feature or find a way around it? btw this is specifically my lock screen, NOT my home screen.

ios17 wallpaper blur keeps disabling every morning recently updated to 17.1 and since then every morning my wallpaper, which I have set to be a blurred background on my Home Screen, resets to NOT blurred when I unlock my phone. the only way for me to “fix it” is to go back into the Lock Screen customization, turn off the blur, save it, then go into customize again and add the blur. idk if it’s important but for more info, I have different pictures for my Lock Screen and Home Screen wallpapers

Tonight I added some photos to the album and now my lock screen is completely blurry. Home Screen is perfectly clear. Anyone know how to fix this LOCK SCREEN issue?? It appears you have discovered “extend wallpaper” or at least that’s my best guess. Just deselect it from the Lock Screen editor under the three dots.
