iPhone 15 cannot connect to internet on iOS 17.02

My iPhone 15 cannot connect to the internet via wifi or cellular.

  • Every other Apple device in my household connects to the home wifi and cellular data
  • I have turned off wifi and turned it on again
  • I have removed the wifi network and added it again
  • I have restarted the device
  • I have rebooted the device
  • I have reset network settings
  • I have reset all settings
  • I have tried to delete the iPhone but it can't connect to the internet to verify my Apple ID

I have iOS 17.02. It says there is an update available in settings but when I select it says "Unable to check for update"

Does anyone have any ideas? Obviously without any internet at all my phone is pretty useless. Thank you!

Hello richardmclarke,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities, and we'll be happy to help in any way we can. We understand you're having issues with connecting to Wi-Fi and cellular service on your iPhone. If you can't update over Wi-Fi, we recommend updating using a computer to see if that resolves the issue as described here: Update your iPhone or iPad

"Learn how to update your device manually if you're using a Mac with macOS Catalina or later, or if you're using a Mac with macOS Mojave or earlier or a Windows PC."

We hope this helps.

Cheers!
