IOS17 Broke Ford MyKey

After downloading IOS 17.0.3, the passive entry for my Ford vehicle no longer works and pairing with the Sync system is intermittent. I've removed and restarted everything, but same result.

CarPlay controls on Steering Wheel no longer working All of a sudden the volume control and the song skip paddle buttons on my steering wheel don't work with CarPlay. The Seri button doesn't do anything either. I've tried "forgetting" my car a couple of times, rebooting the care a few times, etc. The volume works fine on the stereo. I've tried using the USB connection as well as the Bluetooth connection. Nothing seems to impact the issue. I did do a security update on my iPhone a couple of days ago to IOS 16.16.1. I guess this is likely the issue? I tried a USB connection to another iPhone as well and that didn't change anything. Mine is an iPhone 11, but the other phone is pretty new. I've turned the car on and off a few times. Running out of tricks.

iPad 16.6.1 issue auto connecting to ford sync 3 I am having issues with the ipad on 16.6.1 . It's connected to the sync 3 on my Ford truck. While playing video, such as Youtube, plays fine, however, the sync is showing this connection as a phone call and the call timer is counting up. If I hit pause by touching the screen or space bar on the keypad, the video will stop for a few seconds but start playing again without any touch from me. I have had this setup for several years and have never had this problem, only until the ios 16 upgrade. Its so annoying that it keeps auto-connecting. I have searched settings, I found one that says connect automatically unselected, but no resolve.

Correction, it broke "Phone as a Key."
