Microphone recommendation for Voice Control

Hi, to avoid using my wrist to prevent RSI, I wanted to start using Voice Control with my mid-2021 Macbook Pro plugged in to external monitors. I tried two external mics - a boom mic and a headset. With both mics, Voice Control was quite inaccurate. I used the same mics with Office Dictation on Windows (e.g. in Outlook and OneNote) and the dictation was very accurate. One difference in my mac and Windows setup is that my mac only has USB-C ports, while my windows has USB-A ports. Most external USB mics on the market, including the two I own, only have USB A cables. I tried using the Apple USB-A to USB-C adapter and while this enables me to use both mics with my mac, maybe the adapter damages the quality of the sound input.

Can you please recommend me an external microphone for accurate dictation?

Mine is pretty much a classic case; this summarizes my condition and treatment almost perfectly: https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/176443

I was (am?) type 1. I'm 77; my condition reared its head about 40 years ago.

I thought about your solution, but that covered only one small aspect of my condition and was not really a treatment for the condition as a whole from my perspective. There were/are just too many other things that contributed far more than typing.
