Transfer files to iPhone

I would like to transfer some files, i.e., pdf, docx, xlsx, etc. to the iPhone for use. Can someone advise how I can do it. Thanks!

MacBook Air, iMac 27", iPhone 4, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

Greetings,

Get PhoneView, Documents-to-go, Air Sharing, or Quick Office, and there are many others. They all work. I use some of them for the iPads, and iPhones.

Alternatively you can simply email the files to yourself and then open up the attachments for your viewing pleasure.

I've found that Memory Stick Free works quite well although it requires the use of iTunes. And it's free.

pdf's...
iTunes, so they're shelved and viewable in iBooks on my phone.
haven't tried the other file types though.

It is too slow as I would like to transfer about 200 files into my phone. Any other alternative?

I tried to import all files using File -> Add to Library in iTunes and successfully create Books folder under Library. Then sych all files under Books tab into my iPhones. Only pdf files can move into my iPhone but cannot find others. Anyone knows where the others are? Thanks!

Files Pro is what i"ve been using for almost 3 years. Excel, Word, HTML, PDF, and a lot of other types open fine. The app is very stable.

Files can be transferred over usb or wi-fi. Currently I have about 3 gb of files ranging from 100mb to a few kb in size in multiple folders and subfolders and it works great.

There is a free version you can try.

Amazing. No plug and play, drag and drop native to the OS. Amazing.

Adding all these after market programs are fine except the devices aren't mine to that with.

I've removed my recommendation of Apple products to my customers mainly because they don't want to play with anybody on any terms but their own. Unacceptable in the 21st century when everything should be talking to everything else - plug and play.

Very frustrating.
