screen time whatsapp

Anyoneee pls helpp mee.. So I turned on my screen time to make sure my partner could check if I was actually using my phone or not, so we called each other from 7 to 12 a.m. My screen time detected some of my Whatsapp activity but its only like 20-30 seconds? However during the entire time, I didn't touch or even unlock my phone, but I noticed that the WhatsApp call screen sometimes turned on due to notifications, or sometimes I accidentally clicked it even when I hadn't even unlocked my phone. Is it possible that the lockscreen phone call is the one that screentime detected? because I didn't even unlock my phone or play my phone during that time.

Your iOS have Background App Refresh feature that update the apps (typically with 15 min time interval ) in the background without you knowing it.

In your case, the Screen time has picked up the activity and stored it in the average daily or weekly statistics. Smartphones use sophisticated algorithm to run the app refresh just to stay tuned with you. Therefore, your My screen time detected some of the WhatsApp activities for few seconds even though you haven't touched your phone.

However, it mostly relates the messaging or social networking app, so WhatsApp in your case was the right candidate.
