Mic mode off Snapchat glitch

In order to have third-party apps be able to use your iPhone's microphone, they need to ask for permission.

If you haven't received the notice generated by selecting something within the app which requires the mic usage, then you'll want to contact the app developer.

If the microphone doesn't work in a specific app

1. Go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone.

2. Make sure that the app is enabled.

3. If the app has permission to access your microphone, or if it isn't listed, contact the app developer.

Only way I’ve found works is getting the latest software update. Fixed it immediately for me.

I honestly had the same issue all I did was turn off my phone and turn it back on and it worked

I found out how to fix it try restarting your phone and leave it for 30 seconds it worked for me

Record on Snapchat go to settings turn microphone off record turn it back on and see if it works after that it did for me

i just restarted my phone and it worked

I’ve had this issue.

i cleared my cache on snap, updated the app, updated my iPhone, made sure permissions were there as well and NOTHING nothing worked.

….. THENNN, I just happened to press the volume button down (mine was all the way up trying to get the volume to play on everything) and boom there’s sound.

This problem isn’t within the app its from the iPhone itself type of glitch bc I’ve tried to use my Snapchat on other phones and on my ipad and the mic works everywhere except on my iPhone it wouldn’t work while using Snapchat only

has anyone found out how to fix this problem it started happening to my last phone and i just got it replaced cause it got broken and its still happening to the replacement phone that i was sent if anyone knows how to get it to work again please lmkk

so I went on my Snapchat and I was trying to take a photo and it said go onto settings and enable camera and I went on there and it wasn’t there and same with my microphone. It wasn’t there either so does anyone know how to fix this?

Same issue for me. Just started in the last couple of days. I’ve tried everything suggested to try and fix it.

I believe it’s software related. I had the exact same problem and mine started working again with a recent update.
