Find for Apple Remote

Does the find feature only show up on newer phones? I have the most recent iPhone update, I have the iPhone 12. I do not see Find in the upper right corner under the remote on my phone

It should work on iPhone 12. It does on my iPhone 12 mini with iOS 17.x.

The remote should be of model Siri Remote (2nd generation or later), with firmware 0x83 (included with tvOS 17).

The Find link/button would be revealed from the drop-down device menu at the top. It isn’t visible all the time.
