Dropped in swimming pool but only Face ID

Have you received an alert that Face ID has been disabled?


If so, it means Apple has detected an issue with your TrueDepth camera that might cause it to not function as expected. The TrueDepth camera contains lasers, which might be disabled for safety reasons if the device malfunctions or is damaged.


If you haven’t received such an alert, but Face ID isn’t working as expected, try the steps in the following support article: If Face ID isn't working on your iPhone or iPad Pro - Apple Support
