Thank You for your time & knowledge.

Just so you know, RAM has not been user accessible to be upgraded/changed on Mac notebook computers since the introduction of the retina display in the year 2012.

Can I upgrade in intel based macs. Whether it is possible or not ?

Depends on the particular Mac.

With regards to Intel-based Mac notebooks.

  • You cannot upgrade RAM in any MacBook with a Retina screen. The last MacBook on which you could upgrade RAM was the MacBook (13-inch, Mid 2010).
  • You cannot upgrade RAM in any MacBook Air, whether it has a Retina screen or not.
  • You cannot upgrade RAM in any MacBook Pro with a Retina screen. The last MacBook Pros on which you could upgrade RAM were the MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) and (15-inch, Mid 2012). (Apple kept the 13-inch one in their lineup until October 2016 – even as they introduced newer 13-inch Retina models.)
