Why are Video effects and mic mode showing up in control center on iOS 17 iPhone 13
What could be prompting them to show up? I’ve never used either of them before. Aren’t they for FaceTime?

Hi shanthor,
There are some apps, settings, and features that can be edited in Control Center. Here's how: Edit Control Center on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
How to remove a control
1. Go to Settings > Control Center.
2. Tap the Remove button, then tap Remove next to the app or feature that you want to remove.
However, the two options you referred to, Video Effects and Mic Mode will only appear when you access Control Center from within the FaceTime app. These are not editable using the above steps.
Regards.

There was some kind of glitch making the video effects and mic buttons show up in control center even not when using FaceTime.
Restarting my phone fixed the issue for me.
I fixed this by going into FT and deleting any group calls I was recently on.. This put everything back in place in the control center.
Idk if you fixed this already but I had the same issue and I managed to fix it by opening FaceTime and deleting a link i had there then I just swiped away the FaceTime app from my opened apps and boom the mic mode icon was gone 🫶🏻
Try restarting your phone, it fixed the issue for me.
The question is how to remove Video Effects and Mic Mode, and as you pointed out "These are not editable using the above steps," so this answer isn't unhelpful. Better not to answer than wrong instructions that don't work for the problem, which just confuse people. These are showing up without using FaceTime. The only thing that works is restarting the phone.
Hi! Mine suddenly has this all the time, even when I’m not on FT. It really messes with where everything goes and I really want it gone since I’m never gonna use it anyway and hardly ever use FT. Any ideas?
Hi would you be able to tell me what type of issues that's causing? I was having issues with people suddenly not hearing me on calls and vice versa.. I restarted and notice video effects off and mic off ... I don't even know what those are. Never use FT ... UGH
Please help I need this to go away on my control panel to
I did it and still not popping up
