Music under MacOS can shuffle play all albums from the library and it then plays all numbers from the album sequentially.
I would like to do the same on my iPhone.
Mac mini, macOS 12.6
That works fine under MacOS (currently Sonoma 14.0)
but not under iOS.
Under iOS 17.0.3 Library->Albums->Shuffle results in shuffling Numbers.
And yes, although that is nice I would prefer, most of the time anyway, shuffling of albums and playing the songs in order.

It sounds like you want the albums to play while on shuffle, but you want the songs to play in order. When shuffle is selected, it will select that specific content. For example, if you choose to shuffle albums, it will shuffle all the songs amongst the albums.
