where can I download 10.6 Snow Leopard?

I need to reinstall 10.6 Snow Leopard on an iMac 4,1 and I was looking for an official Apple Download for that version.

I've managed to find 10.7 and above.

There isn't one. You would need to acquire the original Snow Leopard install disks from a source such as ebay.

Leopard and Snow Leopard were paid upgrades that came on DVDs.

Apple no longer sells those DVDs, so beware of cheap knock-offs.
