Inconsistent Continuity Camera Connection

It seems that with my 2019 MBP 16" and iphone 15 pro max; continuity camera will not always 'hand-off'. Restarting the laptop seems to resolve the issue - but there has to be a better way. Any suggestions on how to resolve without having to always restart either device?

You want to make sure you're running the latest software on both iPhone and your Mac to ensure the most recent performance fixes. Check that you have all settings correct as described in Continuity Camera: Use your iPhone or iPad to scan documents or take a picture on your Mac - Apple Support.


If this continues, restart your mac in safe mode and use the feature here to see whether the behavior continues. Safe mode limit start up programs while running a health check on your startup disk.
