Any USB keyboards available to start Ventura ot Mojave in Recovery mode?

I purchased at Amazon two Perrexx keyboards however none of the two allows me to restart my MacStudio with Ventura and my MacPro2013 in Recovery mode.

I read I should make and external installer and use it to get to that mode, but what other aptions I have if I want to simply use a regular Mac compatible keyboard

Thanks

With the advent of Apple Silicon things have changed. No keyboard will allow you to start recovery mode. Pushing and holding the power button is the only way. There is also no such thing as resetting PRAM anymore either. It’s all ancient history with Apple Silicon M1, M2, and now M3.

But your profile indicates you may still have an Intel based MacBook. If that’s the case you posted in the wrong forum.

To boot the Mac Studio into recovery mode, just continue holding the power button on startup and select recovery mode. You probably need a wired keyboard for the MacPro 2013. On versions of macOS before 11.0, I believe you could run: “sudo nvram internet-recovery-mode=RecoveryModeDisk” in terminal but that no longer works. You’ll have to hold command+r on startup with a connected keyboard for that.
