Adding Apple Music from Apple Watch

I recently upgraded from an Apple Watch 3 to an 8. On my 3 I was apple to activate Siri and have her add the song playing onto a playlist but now with my 8 it's saying Apple Music can't do that. It's really inconvenient while im driving to try and add it to a playlist so I imagine there should be a way to solve this. Also im fairly tech savvy and have tried most of the "simple" fixes

Hello d_richardson,

We see you are trying to use Siri to add a song to your playlist through your Apple Watch. You also mentioned already doing "most of the simple fixes". Did that include restarting your Apple Watch? That's a great first step.

Restart Apple Watch - Apple Support

If you already did that, and the issue isn't resolved, the next is to narrow down the issue. If you try the same request with Siri on your iPhone, does the song get added to your playlist? That will narrow down if the issue is with Siri in general for your devices, or just your Apple Watch.

Best regards.
